We are in the process of funding, design and
construction of a pellet mill plant in Mt Iron,
Minnesota. The plant when complete will have the
capability of producing over 100,000 tons of wood
fuel pellets annually. Our sister plant is operating in
Marcell, MN with a capacity of 50,000 tons per year.
The world shortage of wood pellets is becoming
acute here in the US. As the United states catches
up with Europe in alternative fuel technology, we at
Mountain Timber Wood Products will play a major
role in developing and manufacturing pellet fuels in
the Midwest area of the country. Transportation
costs are rising daily. It is imperative that a pellet mill
be constructed in northern Minnesota to fulfill the
future needs in alternative fuels in Minnesota and the
surrounding area. It is our " mission" to utilize waste
timber materials and help in lessening our
dependence on foreign oil.
